From Milan (approx. 180 km — 3 hours)
By car: Take the main road as far as Como/Chiavenna, then follows the ascent to the Maloja Pass – the final kilometres between the Val Bregaglia and the Engadin lake plateau are already part of the holiday experience.
By train: From Milano Centrale to Tirano, continue on the famous Bernina Express (UNESCO World Heritage, one of the most scenic panoramic routes in the world) to St Moritz, and from there by bus to Silvaplana.
From Zurich (approx. 200 km — 2 hours 45 minutes)
By car: On the A3/A13 motorway to Chur, then via the Julier Pass straight down to Silvaplana.
By train: From Zürich HB via Chur to St. Moritz with the Rhaetian Railway on the legendary Albula line (also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, passing spectacular viaducts and spiral tunnels) and then by bus to Silvaplana. From Zurich Airport there is a direct train connection via Zürich HB.
From Lugano (approx. 140 km — 2 hours 30 minutes)
By car: Along the lake to Menaggio, then via Chiavenna and the Maloja Pass. Alternatively, the all-Swiss route via the San Bernardino Pass and the Julier Pass is an option. A scenically stunning route that connects three worlds in just a few hours: the lake, Val Bregaglia and the Engadin high plateau.

By train and bus: The nearest railway station is in St. Moritz, just 7 km away. From there, regular scheduled buses will take you directly to Silvaplana in just a few minutes.

By car: The Chesa Silva is easily accessible by car. Both the Julier Pass and the Maloja Pass are open all year round and are safe to drive.
